Lied about the warranty on the used car. Lied about the payments on the used car to make it look like it was the same monthly payment as the new one.

Watch out for the bait and switch if your looking at their used car ads!
If I could give zero stars I would. I had verbal agreement to a price of a car and sent in all paperwork with the exception of one page. I was told I had to sign that one page in person which is odd considering esign and fax options. This was a Thursday and I was going out of town we talked about coming in the following week to pick up the car. I was then told the car would be pulled from the lot and have a sold sticker placed on the car. None of this happen and they kept it for sale and sold it over the weekend. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate.
Terrible experience today. Went to look at a used car they had advertised for 9,800. They don’t want to sell it, it’s bait for the hard up-sell to a new car.
I test drove several cars on Saturday to include a Ford taurus, the salesperson sent me a text saying the GM accepted the amount I could pay. I replied I wanted it but was leaving the next morning to come home. I was told the dealership would be open that sunday at 1. I postponed coming home so I could go by and pay 1k to hold the car and that I was leaving a check with my father that would pay the balance when is transferred funds that following week. I was instructed to speak to the GM Mike Davis. I get to dealership at 1, the GM left the day before going out of town. I wanted to drive the car again to be sure if fit my needs because I am handicap. I had to wait over an hour for someone that had a key to the detail shop to come in and open the bldg to get the car out in rhe meantime i spoke with the tower manager and told him the quote in the car, etc. I drove car and it was perfect for my needs. I told them it was perfect and started filling out the test drive paperwork and gave them a check for the 1k. All of this took right at 3 hours, I was then notified there was a mistake and that they could not sell me the car at the price I was quoted. I was told it was was a huge mistake and that the GM, the tower manager, sales manager and sales person would have a meeting the next morning and would get back with and would treat me right and make the mistake right. I was also offered a different car that was posted for 12k, but it did not have the options that worked with my handicap. Have not receiver adequate followup from dealership and not even a phone call from the GM. Car I test drove was stickered at 18,997.00 I was quoted 10,000.00. I just received an offer for them to sell me the car for 18,497.00.. very unprofessional... trade in on car is 15k, the dealership might have 13k, I don't think the dealership loosing 3k on a mistake they made would make them close the doors. Just saying... treat customer right and even if an employee made a mistake, you should take responsibility for their mistake and consider it lesson learned.
I have screen shots of the Serra website, using the payment calculator for the advertised car, I put in the interest rate they told me and the terms they said I qualified for and the used car payment was $150 a month lower than the new car payment.
I was trying to look at a sub $10k car and the payment was somehow the same as the new $16k car.
They basically threw me out when I questioned how they figured financing 10k for 72 mos equaled a payment of $380. No loan calculator that I have used returns that.
I don’t know his name but the man who was talking finance got pissed off and kicked me out when I questioned the numbers.
This place is why the world has a negative opinion about car dealerships and their employees. Our car salesman at Tony Serra Ford was an incompetent mess. He told us he was going to put a "SOLD" sign in the window when we called saying we wanted to buy the car and move on with the paperwork. He happened to go out of town for the weekend and was too lazy and dumb to remember to put the sign out so the car sold over the weekend. We only found out because we called right before we were about to drive from Birmingham to get the car. They didn't even have the decency to let us know they sold it while we had already started the paper work. If you're looking for a car. Do not waste your time here. Actually go far, far away from here. We ended up buying ours at Hoover Toyota. What a contrast. The people at Hoover Toyota were amazing.
